It occurred to me yesterday that maybe I just ought to learn to transform uncomfortable emotional states into their mirror image. (Not that it’s so easy, but at least it’s a theory.) For instance, the mirror of anxiety is excitement. Through logic, I can easily assure myself that anxiety is pointless, apart from literal flight or fight situations. It masks intuitive awareness, unwanted adrenaline surges aren’t great for the body, etc.
So can it just be transformed into a mirror?
anxiety -> excitement
worry -> play
fear -> openness
anger -> ?
